If your images are not displaying in Homebrewery, usually it’s because you are not using an URL to an actual image file. Especially if you are using Imgur. Imgur would prefer to serve up an link to a page on Imgur than just the image itself, because then you navigate to their site (where they get clicks/ad money).
If the link you are using looks like this, https://imgur.com/ebKm9lC, it is a link to an Imgur page, and thus is no good in the Homebrewery.
Usually you can easily convert that to a file URL by just adding .png or .jpg to the end of it. https://imgur.com/ebKm9lC.png would work in a brew.
If this doesn’t work, you need to actually go to the image in Imgur, right click on the image and from the context menu do “Copy Image Address” (that’s on MacOS, but there should be something similar on Windows/other systems).
United Kingdom
If you are in the UK, in 2025 a law was passed that Imgur decided to not deal with, so UK IP addresses are blocked. If you are writing a brew that you expect will be viewed by readers in the UK, take that into consideration. There are alternative image hosts, like ImgBB.com.
